I have two Virtek-5 FPGAs to tranfer data through GTP, one transmit, one receive. From the very start, the receiver can receive data correctly, the byte is aligned and channel bonding is OK.
But sometimes, when I reload the .bit files of the transmiter to send different data, the receiver does not work well, the receive data is not aligned. So what kind of reset should be performed, RXBUFRESET or RXCDRRESET? or I implement the Link Idle Circuiit instead? Thanks

For your application, the global GTXRESET can be OK. After reset, realigning is needed via comma.

I just want to have a reset which will have smallest impact on the other components of GTP_DUAL tile, and how about implementing the link idle reset circuit, does it work or not?

Just check about gtreset port in your GTP module and you can configure it according to your requirement.
