Hello there.

I have a problem with generating a system from Xilinx blocks in Simulink. When I click "Generate" button, I have an error message:

Begin generation
Checking model status
Checking simulation times
Performing compilation and generation

*** ERROR ***

Errors occurred during netlist generation.
Error using ==> xlProcBlockElaborateBMM at 19
synopsis file 'D:\Xilinx\12.2\ISE_DS\ISE\netlist\synopsis' not found

I tried different circuits, but the result is the same. As you see, Xilinx installation path is D:\Xilinx\, and Matlab installation path is D:\MATLAB\R2010a. Can you help me with this problem?

hi,

     i also get the same error i.e xlProcBlockElaborateBMM at 19 saying that the synopsis file cannot be created . I am using Matlab2010b and xilinx ISE 12.2.can any one help me to solve this.

Is this error machine dependent ?

Can  you pleae try on your colleague's machines with same/differnt configuration?

Did you try clearing the cache and then regenate ?

This error persists even if you shutdown matlab and then reopen ?

Is your machine 32bit/64 bit ?

can you run xlDiagnosticInfo.m in the Matlab command prompt and upload the log file?

I also suspect if Matalb R201b is not compatible with 12.2

Ensure you have no spaces or special characters in your installation paths of both Matlab and the Xilinx ISE tools.

Also, ensure you are opening Sysgen from the start menu and not through Matlab.
