Webpack + System Generator.

Hi,

All I need (in terms of Xilinx tools) is the Webpack (which I think is free from licensing) and want to add to it System Generator, is that possible? How do I download System Generator tool and what is the cost of licensing?

Hi,

It is better to install the full version of ISE DESIGN SUITE with the MATLAB compatible version of it, using webpack may lead to various restriction as it is a free evaluation product. The cost of the licensing comes in package i.e 25 seats of ISE design suite and cost can be in dollars and in your country currency...pls contact your local sales for it, Also in order to use sysgen tools u must have a full matlab license also with your domain specific toolbox library.

Web-pack & System generator both are different and cannot be merged,If i am not wrong.

Hi,

I m having ISE web pack license and bought System Generator license and it is working fine.

But If you intall the webpack product only you cant find the system generator.

you need to do the following.

1. Install ISE DSP Edition or ISE System Edition where in turn installs System Generator.

2. Apply for Webpack License (its free)

3. Buy the System Generator License (For cost you can enquire AVNET )

4. Add the System Generator License in License Manager

5. You need to have MATLAB & Simulink also with some specific Blocksets like "Fix Point", "Fix Point Simulink", "DSP System Toolbox", "Xilinx Blockset".
