There is something wrong with my PlanAhead when launch Modelsim

Hi All,

My PlanAhead is 14.1 which can use ModelSim as simulator. But when I set ModelSim as simulator in PlanAhead, errors occurs. Pls help me.

You should set the proper path for Modelsim exe file to use ModelSim for simulation environment.

I have compiled Xilinx library by Simulation library complication wizard and set environment variable MODELSIM. You mean I should set modelsim.exe path. How to set it?

In ISE you should set

1.Go to Simulation Process properties

--> General Options

Property Names

1st option Target Simulator.

--> Set the desired simulator.

2nd option Language.

--> Set the desired language.

3rd option Simulator path

--> You should give the path for Model Sim exe here.

But I had really not tried with Plan Ahead 14.1 since it has realsed a week back.

Even for Plan Ahead 13.4 it supports ISIM as default simulator.

Also verify that you had set the proper environment variable and the exe file exsist on that path.

This is a known issue in PlanAhead and dev team is working on it.

Current workaround is to launch Modelsim stand alone outside PlanAhead.

Hey graces,

It seems that Plan Ahead 14.1 contains the option for Model Sim under project settings but we are unable to find the settings for integrated tools where we should set the path for modelsim.exe file.
