How to calculate (estimate) static power on FPGAs just for implemented part?

Hi everybody,

I have used Xpower-analyzer to extract power consumption, but when I change the inputs just the dynamic power changes. And the static power (quiescent) didn't change or their difference is negligible.

So I want to extract static power just for implemented part of the circuit not the whole of FPGA. Please give me a hand by this.

tnx

x,

The FPGA device static power, is just that:  static.  It does not change much at all, regardless of the configuration.

Now, in newer parts (7 series), static power is affected by instantiation of the BRAM blocks (as well as dynamic power).

So, regardless of the design, static is....static.
