I am having trouble using the iMPACT for downloading the generated .bit and .mcs files to the fpga.

i cannot find the PROM when i go to add it. 

i have the spartan xc3s4000 

can anyone help?

Hi,

   When you say you cannot find the PROM, it is not showing up in your JTAG chain?  I assuem you performing an Initialize Chain in Impact?

    What PROM are you expecting to see?  XCF32P or another one of the Xilinx PROM?  What version of the tools are you uisng?
