I have a common question which I know has been answered in an earlier post but I cant find it.
I have a ML510 which I configure and test from my home office. I therefore have no possibility to press the reset button. Parallel cable is connected to ordinary JTAG connector. Most of the time this setup has worked well. But in the last couple of days I faced a problem with a newly written sw. (But I had the same behaviour with the automaticly generated "Peripheral Test")
Each time I download the elf via SDK 13.2 Run Mode the sw seems not to start. If I press the CPU reset button on the board the sw executes and performes nicely. It also executes in Debug Mode but this is not an persistent option to me either. I have configured the elf with the "Reset entire System" option found in the "device initialization" tab. But this seems not to be done.
As I understand the reset signal is sent by a XMD command. When I checked the traffic down the cable in my XMD console, no reset command to processor or system is involved. However there are reset commands when I start a debug session.
Hope someone can clarify this.
