Perhaps it is just me, but there seem to be a lot of old threads (2008 to 2011 vintage) appearing near the top of the list of recent threads today. It's bad enough when some newbie posts a "me too" to a dormant thread, but these seem to have no new posts in at all.
Is there a reason for this?
Can it be stopped from happening again?

In addition to what has already been said, there are further peculiarities with these Lazarus threads:
- They seem to be in the MIG forum
- They seem to attract a new response from a certain Xilinx employee who is unaware of their Lazarus nature
- They attract a 'too late to be of any likely use' tag from some user who treats these threads as the grave of Edgar Alan Poe
Hmmmm... that's an idea to check. Perhaps this is another homage to EAP on the anniversary of his birth?

Summary:
1. Read the manual or user guide. Have you read the manual? Can you find the manual?
2. Search the forums (and search the web) for similar topics.
3. Do not post the same question on multiple forums.
4. Do not post a new topic or question on someone else's thread, start a new thread!

6 "It does not work" is not a question which can be answered. Provide useful details (with webpage, datasheet links, please).
7. You are not charged extra fees for comments in your code.
8. I am not paid for forum posts. If I write a good post, then I have been good for nothing.

The MIG forum database certainly seems to be broken or corrupted. Some recent threads from this forum no longer appear in my posting history, but they can be found in the MIG forum thread listing.
Odd.
Here are two examples: first second

The "missing" threads have reappeared in my posting history, but the MIG forum "sort by date of latest post" is still broken.

Hi,
Thanks for reporting this and sorry for the delay in responding. (Major IT issues with my PC....I'll say no more! :( )
Anyway, I have looked at all the boards and it's certainly weird!
Some boards are fine, some have the odd zombie thread listed amongst recent threads and others (like the MIG board) are a total mess!
We've not changed any settings or anything, here at Xilinx, so let me chat to our forums provider and see what they say!
I'll update this post as I hear anything....

Hello again,
The MIG and connectivity boards should now be fixed.
Please feel free to let me know if this happens again!

Are you able to tell us what the problem was?

It was caused by human error!
One of the mods had been cleaning out some of the other boards and had forgotten to select the option to list the moved posts in chronologial order. That's why the tool was considering them as new threads and putting them alongside the most recent!
Easily done, but should not happen again! (and we know the easy fix if it accidentally does! :) )
