Hi all,
I want to connect two Freeware ML605 boards and was thinking to use SERDES.
The intended data speed is 800Mbps. My data bus is 8 bits wide and my system clock is 100MHz.
So, I have to connect my system clock to CLKDIV (slower clock).
How about the high speed clock to drive serial link? Where should I connect to?

Hi,
Take a look at this file:
http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/user_g
ISERDES - page 125. Table 3-1.
OSERDES - page 147. Table 3-6.
I hope it will be helpful ;]

Hello,
I also think these two application notes are excellent at descibing how to use multi-bit SERDES channels betweeen devices with automatic alignment for maximum speed.
Start with this:

But also look at this:

Hope this helps ...
