Hi

I have some problems in migrating ISE old project (ISE 9.1)to new one(ISE 12.3).

With out regenerating IP cores i opened my old project with 12.3 then it asked for migration only.

I used in old project all the IP cores.(single port ram, FIFOs,Dual port RAM,distributed RAM)

I opened with that option my project is implementing properly but after checking with hardware its giving  Result.

(No behavior changed in my design) byt this is working when i open with 9.1i.

Give me solution for this as i wanted to update this design wirh high density devices(spartan-6) i should work  with 12.3

I think that migration of an older project is fine if you are going to use the same device and the difference between the vesions is small. However in your case, there have been 4 years between versions. Because of the time there have been many improvements and bug fixes for the IP of your device. In addition, if you are planning on using a new device, then you should also expect to regenerate your IP for that device. It seems to me that because of these points, the best course of action for you is to re-create your project for the new device rather than attempt to upgrade it then change the device.
