Hello,
I have installed ISE Webpack 13.4 under VMware (4 times by now). After installation is finished
I start ISE and then try to create a "New Project". But I always get:
"Failed to create a temporary project"
and after "OK":
"A Xilinx Application has encountered an unexpected error ..."
I tried this in VMware under Windows XP and Windows 7 - same result.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help!

Hi,
the OS of my "real" PC is Windows 7.
On that "real" PC runs vmware. Inside of vmware I tried boths: Windows XP and Windows7 as OS.
Based on that I installed ISE. In both cases (Windows XP and Windows 7 as OS in vmware)
I cannot properly start ISE but get the error mentioned above.
Thanks.

ok
two steps
step 1
you have administration privelages et all in your vm,
check you can install and run something else that needs admin privilages
step 2
why VMware. ISE can never run as fast in Vm as it does on the native computer.
if you don't need vm, then don't use it,
I can see use of Vm, where you don't have admin rights to install ISE on iwndows 7,
but if you have 7, install it natevely.
