I am getting this message while doing synthesis

XST executable 'C:/Xilinx/13.2/ISE_DS/EDK/bin/nt/xst.exe' doesn't exist, please check installation.

I looked for this file in some other installes directories, but none had this file.

Is this problem with the installation or something else?

You don't say what you are doing or what your setup is when you are getting this error.  However, below are a few general statements.

xst.exe should be in the C:/Xilinx/13.2/ISE_DS/ISE/bin/nt directory (Assuming you are using 32-bit Widows platform).

The XILINX variable should be set to C:/Xilinx/13.2/ISE_DS/ISE and C:/Xilinx/13.2/ISE_DS/ISE/bin/nt should be in the PATH.
