Installation and Licensing

Hi,

I need to know, what features should have a PC desktop? In the University was bought a computer with this features:

Gear ONE-89i Core i7-2600/4Gb/1Tb.

I installed Centos 5.2 but kernel does not function. what OS your recomendation for this features of computer.

I will now to try with Centos 5.8, what your recommed?

ok, the next questions is:

if  I installed Centos 5.8  and Matlab 2010a and when I installed Xilinx Ise 13.1 and starting run xsetup (and add xilinx license). Xilinx should appear automatically in simulink of matlab ? or I need to do something after installation (postinstall)?

On linux, Xlinx blocksets don't automatically show up in simulink. It's dynamically added by running "sysgen" command from a terminal assuming you set up the environment correctly (see http://forums.xilinx.com/t5/Installation-and-Licensing/Running-ISE-in-Linux/m-p/97408#M1838 )
