Hi,
It seems that the Memory Interface Generator Core does not support multiple controllers for DDR2 memories, but it does for DDR3 or other memories.
What is the reason for that? Is there any work around? I need two x16 DDR2, should I use twice the core and choose the pin out manually?

The reason is that DDR3 is becoming far more common that DDR2.
The workaround is just as you suggest: run MIG multiple times. It should be very straightforward to do so. You do not need to choose the pin out manually. Just select different banks for your interfaces.

There is no single "MIG core". MIG will generate completely different sets of code, depending on the target device family. When discussing what MIG will (or will not) support, you must specify the target device family. It wouldn't hurt to also specify the version of MIG which is being discussed.
