I am a newbie when it comes to interfacing to memory. My Virtex 5 design has a LPSDR SDRAM chip. I want the easiest way possible to get data to/from it. I was hoping to use the MIG tool, but it appears that SDR SDRAM is not supported (or is it?). Is there another xilinx core I should be using?
The chip: MT48LC16M8A2
Datasheet: http://download.micron.com/pdf/datasheets/dram/sdr

MIG does not support SDR SDRAM. You could contact IP companies such as Northwest Logic or roll your own controller or perhaps someone else reading this will have another suggestion.
I'm curious - why not use DDR2?
