Hi I am trying to pull data in from two gpio pins and route that through to the serial port on my development board. I want to then grab that data on my computer. 

I have the microblaze softcore setup with no custom peripherals.

I am getting this error when i try to run my c code on the hardware. Everything up to this point seems to work. I get a few warnings about mdm connections floating.

I know there are not a lot of details here but i dont know what would be important to add.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Unexpected error while launching program:

The error you get is telling you you have no JTAG connection from your pc to your board.

Get that fixed first.  You can't "run" any c code at all until the hardware platform is programmed to have a processor!
