Hi,
I only need part of RocketIO GTP_DUAL. I don't need to use TX and all stuff in PCS (i.e. I don't need 10B8B, don't need comma detection, don't need alignment). The only thing I need is RX equalization analog module.
I understand there are options to bypass 10B8B, to bypass comma detection, and to bypass alignment. But they still cost slice space for me (Is it true??). If they do cost me spaces, is there a way that I can synthesize my design without these PCS modules?
