hi.
i m new to PCI express.
in one of our design we are using SPARTAN-6 based board with PCI-express interface.
can anyone help me by telling what are the main hurdles to pass the design in software and hardware wise.

Hi,
I think you should focus on getting the example design provided to come up and run on the SP606 board. This would familiarize you with different aspects of the design process using the core.

ya we are referring SP605 spec. main hurdle in our case is, FPGA taking 172ms to boot from SPIx4.this configuration timing how can i reduce???

Hi,
Doesnt th eSP605 also have a x16 BPI configuration option. I think that would be faster. Although I have not looked at this board lately so it might be best to check the Board UG to be sure.
If you are plugging into a standard system with an ATX power supply 172 ms config time should be OK because you have the 100 ms from power stable plus an ATX supply provides a 100 ms buffer before power stable is asserted.

If you have tried google then you must found ML506 PCIe x1 Endpoint Design.
