dear forum members,
Our FPGA card is mounted on a 1 lane pcie slot on a asus 310 mother board. The dma master is inside the fpga and it transfers upto 4K data at a time to the system memory. I see that some data is received as junk.
When i try the same experiment with asus 510 mother board, there is no such data mismatch.
Both systems have the same kernel version installed. The rest of the setup is also identical.
This problem is observed for all the 310 boards i have. All the 510 boards seem to be working fine.
Is this an issue with the mother board or pcie core? Can some setting be changed in PCIe core to resolve this issue?
regards,
Sumanth.

Sounds link signal integrity issue. check rxstatus signal in the core and see if it reports any error or not. This is discussed in the following answer record:

Also have a look at the GT user guide for the device you are using. Make sure all the provided guidelines for board design have been correctly followed.
