After having setup a detailed wcg for ISM with colours, dividers and params for busses and signals (rdix ...) and used it seveal times, ISIM comes up with no signal at all after invoking.
I cannont see any reason for this.
Is that normal for this APP?
(i changed from ModelSIM)

Did you specify a custom wcfg in your isim process properties?

Enter this command in ISIM:
wave add /
That should add all top level signals to your view.

Right, but that won't open your custom .wcfg for you.

Usually this happens when you open a diferent design that the one you created the .wcfg for. I often
run into this using the ISE Navigator GUI and double-clicking the UUT source to make an edit. Then
if I forget to click on the testbench again before starting Isim, the simulator will start with the UUT
code as the top level instead of the test bench.

Same here. Some kind of "Set as Top Module" would be handy in the "Simulation" view of the design panel.

Well, this might be the reason, yes. But what is very unhyppy: If you restart with the right toplevel, the signals are corrupted too.
I usually spend some time in arranging the wcg to have a ordered view of the signals and it is very disturbing to again and agian have to rearrange that.
The other thing might be an idea for a feature:
Since several different simulation outputs are available from the synthesis and map processes, it should be possible to invoke them individually by an appropriate button. Now there is only "behaviourayl" even if there are post translate and post mapping models available.
In the Tab, there should appear something like:
Simulate:
- Behavioral
- Post Translate
- Post Mapping
and thoise which are not yet avilable should be greyed.

I haven't seen this behavior myself. Are you sure you didn't save the configuration during the
session where you opened the UUT for simulation by mistake?

In the newer versions of ISE, the choice of simulation type is now in the drop-down window
where you select the view (just below the "Implementation" and "Simulation" radio buttons).
Normally this shows Behavioral when you switch from the Implementation view. Just change it
to the desired type of simulation.

hm, i can not 100% say when the loss happens and what might be the reason for it.
Thanks for the other hint.
