Xilinx impact hangs during bit file program

Hi,

We are facing an issue while trying to program a bit file with ISE impact M.81d.

When program is clicked, It says boundary –scan chain validated successfully. But the Operation configuration status window hangs in executing command 0%. No progress.

In continuation to the previous post, after the impact window hangs, we tried to reset the board and found that the error as "Done did not go high". Screenshot attached for reference

I am using "Windows XP" operating system..

XP should be safe. Sorry, I have no clues. Is this a custom board design, or standard development board? Do you have copies of this board with which to verify consistent behavioiur?

It is a custom board. Same issue is faced with couple of boards.

So probably a hardware design issue.
Are your MODE pins connected correctly?
What value of pullup on DONE?
(And other questions that the *real* experts like Bob and Gabor will probably ask...)

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your support in need of the hour.

The problem is solved. After we get the message we used to power off and then on. However, when tried the reset button the bord worked with newly downloaded software.

so basically Power cycle != reset :)

Power cycle should load the new configuration code into the FPGA. If it doesn't, you may have a board design problem to resolve.
