Dear all,
I have an ml605 card and i have the following problems with it:
1) ı cant connect to card via JTAG, i cant communicate with it.
2) the compact flash error led (red) continuously is on.
3) ıf i remove the compact flash card, the red led is still on (not blinking)
4) the fan on the fpga is not working although the power switch is on.
5) power good leds are ok, i mean we have power on board.

This will tell you what the defaults for all of the jumpers on the board are so that you can make sure they are the proper state.
That page also has details on restoring the CF card back to its default state.
Once you've done those two things, if it's still not working, please file a WebCase so that our support team can evaluate this for you and determine if you need to return the board.

i couldnt find any solution to my problem in the hardware docı-ument. I also think that i have no problem with CF card because when i remove it, the red led should blink instead of a contiuous on state.
The problem may be the result of a short circuit :) Because while i was measuring the voltage on the fan inputs, the card stopped working and fan stopped too. It should be the result of short circuiting the fan inputs (2 of 3 pins) that resulted in problems with power. Although the 12v and power good leds are ok, the fan isnt working, the computer dosnt recognize the card. Is there something that i can do to fix if the problem is a result of short circuit or i should send the card in order to be fixed?
Thank you for your help.

It sounds like the power supplies have been damaged on the board when you created the electrical short.
Take a DVM and start probing all of the power supplies to see which ones are working and which aren't.
Have you tried typing your question into Google? If not you should before posting.
