I'm using a Spartan-3E Starter Kit for the xcs500e256 Device. I want to connect 2 Boards within 1 JTAG-Chain.
So I've made a cable to connect the Pins from the FX2 connector of one Board to the J28 Connector of the other board.
Like this:
FX(Board 1) J28 (Board 2)
TMS-B -> TMS
TDO-XC2C -> TDI
TDO-FX2 <- TDO
TCK-B -> TCK
GND -> GND
JTSEL <- VCC
So I want' to use the USB-JTAG Interface of Board 1 and include Board 2 into this JTAG jain. But it doesn't work properly.
It looks like the jtag-chain is broken. (I get Data on TDO-XC2C but no data on TDO-FX2)
What am i doing wrong?
Does i have to disable the USB-JTAG Interface on Board2? How?
thanks for help

Well, looks like we have the same problem. Only 3 years apart :P ... Is there anyone who actually used the Spartan 3E starter kit to program another FPGA on a second board? Any suggestions on how to make this work?
