Swithing between Xilinx ISE versions requires chaning an environment variable(s) to point to the correct version. The manual process is tedious (right click My Computer, Properties, Advanced, Environment Variables, etc...).

Need a script to set global enviroment variable to switch back and forth between versions of ISE.

SETX.EXE will do this (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755104(WS.10).aspx),

but it isn't installed in my version of Windows XP.   Aware of any way I can do this?

Kudos!

Just want to add that using a good environment editor such as "Rapid Environment Editor" (http://download.cnet.com/Rapid-Environment-Editor/3000-2094_4-10726254.html?tag=mncol) can be a great time-saver.

Cheers,

Jim
