Difference Between the Dedicated and Auxiliary XADC Inputs

Jump to solution

What is the difference between the dedicated analog ADC inputs (Vp and Vn) and the ADC auxiliary analog inputs (VAUXP and VAUXN). Is the only difference between the dedicated analog and auxiliary, is that the dedicated analog inputs are not capable of being used as digital IO? Are there any other differences?

@digieng Yes, VP/VN are dedicated ADC pins while the AD[0:15]P/N are Multi-function pins

I have doubt that which are the pins on zybo board to give analog inputs for  using Vn and Vp.

After reading ADC document of 7 series FPGA I understood that XADC PMOD port has four external analog input pairs which are VAUXP and VAUXN (12,13,14 and 15). Although they have mentioned how to configure control register to choose between VAUXP and Vp analog inputs, It has not been mentioned anywhere how to give analog input (which pins) on Vp and Vn.
