Hi All,
I've got a clarification question on the QSPI boot options for the Zynq Ultrascale+. Based on the UG1085, there's two options for QSPI when it comes to dual chips. You can have parallel and stacked.
Parallel, you can boot from either chip but XIP is not available.
My question is for the stacked option. It states that you can only perform boot and XIP from the lower device. Does that mean that you can boot from the upper device when not using XIP? Or just in general, you can never boot from the upper device?
I'd prefer to use the stacked architecture but need to be able to have boot images in both the upper and lower. I don't care for XIP.
Thanks,
Patryk

You cannot boot from the upper flash in Dual Stacked configuration.
Your FSBL MUST be in the lower flash and then it can load other partitions from the upper flash.
