How does mpsoc boot from USB?

How does mpsoc boot from USB? How to make a mirror file? I didn't find instructions in the official documentation。

Re: How does mpsoc boot from USB?

Hi @caoshouqi

"MPSoC" can boot from USB by u-boot.

However, you should describe some code and be patched to FSBL.

It depends on your system environment.

hi @watari

thanks for you reply。

That is to say that the usb startup on the 1085 document can only support the start of fsbl? Uboot needs to start from another flash?

Re: How does mpsoc boot from USB?

Hi @caoshouqi

You should take care the followings.

Would you refer it ?

1) Modify some code for peripheral IC  at FSBL.

=> It depends on your environment.

2) Use booting sequence and code at u-boot.

=> You need to re-configure and/or re-build u-boot from source code to support USB booting. It depends on version and configuration of u-boot.

Best regards,

Re: How does mpsoc boot from USB?

hi@watari

Sorry, maybe I didn't say it clearly. I see UG1209 usb startup steps. But starting up requires that you use a computer as the host to download the image. I would like to ask is USB boot can support boot from the U disk?

Re: How does mpsoc boot from USB?

The only way to boot from USB (as a primary boot device) in MPSoC is using the DFU protocol to communicate with an attached host.
