Low Overhead Way To Program Flash from JTAG on Linux (ARM) without Vivado

I have an ARM processor and my FPGA board has the Digilent JTAG SOM. I am wonedering if there are any command line tools that I can install on Ubuntu (running on ARM) to program the FPGA flash via the Digilent JTAG. I can obviously do it with Vivado Hardware Manager, but I do not want to ask everybody that needs to update the firmware to install Vivado.

You could try Digilent Adept: link. Otherwise, I've seen Xilinx chips programmed with OpenOCD (which has the advantage of not needing the Digilent JTAG adaptor) - might be worth a look.

Thanks for the reply! It looks like Adept 2 could work, but they do not seem to support arm64. I will look at OpenOCD too.
