Zynq 7000 Read QSPI Flash to File

Hello,  we have a Zynq 7030 SoC with single QSPI FLASH.

Summary

Is there a way to read the contents of the QSPI flash back to a file ?

Detail

To bring the board up, using the JTAG Platform Cable 2 we program a small boot image which boots a custom U-Boot which can read our SD card and detect a further programming file on that card.  We then using Ethernet to even further configure the QSPI FLASH.

We are now in high volume and the design is stable and would like to be able to clone the QSPI FLASH to eliminate the need for several configuration steps.

Both the Vivado Lab Edition "program configuration memory" or using XSCT -> program_flash only have erase / program / verify options.  We can't see any read to file options.

Hi @andygoulbourne1 ,

you can use u-boot to read back the QSPI. boot the device till u-boot from SD card and then read the QSPI and store it in SD card.

Best Regards,

Srikanth
