is it possible to use tftp to write an image to a blank microsd card on boot?

Jump to solution

So I have to have a blank SD card and I want to boot with TFTP and load everything onto the sd card with tftp. I'm not sure if this is possible because with a blank sd card I can't even get it to the point to let me stop the boot to do things with TFTP in the first place.

You can boot in JTAG boot mode, load your SW that enables TFTP (u-boot for example) and then format/program the SD card.

Then change the boot mode to SD and power cycle (or POR_B).

Would that work for you?
