"The core is powered down" error while downloading ZynqMP FSBL through JTAG

Hi,

When I execute the following command to boot a ZCU111 from JTAG, I get the following error saying "The core is powered down" and I need to shutdown and turn-on the board again to be able to program the Image.

$ petalinux-boot --jtag --prebuilt 3

The following message shows up on UART terminal just before the error:

Xilinx Zynq MP First Stage Boot Loader
Release 2019.1 May 25 2019 - 08:05:49

 This is the error I get:

@DgNHi!

Yes, I restart the chip using the reset push button on the board and then I can boot the new image. It is better than recycling the whole board's power.

I disabled the CPU IDLEing and power managements in kernel but It hasn't helped. I have moved to Petalinux 2020.2 and the error is still there.

hi @arashr ,

Thank you for your answer,

I find it a shame to have to manipulate the board for it to work. This solution works for me, but my script supposed to simplify the job of developpers will sometimes fail because of this error.
FYI : The error does not come from Petalinux : It comes from XSCT. I'm opening a new thread here if you want to check it out.
