System Generator 13.1 and Matlab r2011a

Hi all,

The Sysgen 13.1 documentation says that beta support is provided for Matlab r2011a. Are there any known compatibility issues? I am planning to use these two software, is this the recommended action? Please advice.

Thanks

Re: System Generator 13.1 and Matlab r2011a

Unless there is something specific about R2011 that you need, I would stick with Matlab R2010b or R2010bSP1 releases for working with system generator v13.1 or v13.2.  Since R2010b is mentioned as "compatible" in the compatibility documents that Xilinx provides you can be sure that they will provide support on it and version compatibility issues will not come into play when debugging real problems.

Re: System Generator 13.1 and Matlab r2011a

I'm also interested in this topic. I noticed there was beta support for r2011a, but I can't install sysgen - it complains that

"Error occured while attempting to install System Generator into MATLAB path.Error using ==> xl_test_matlab_support_xmlfile at 111System Generator will not properly function under this version of MATLAB!   This is MATLAB version 2011a."

Is there any way for me to enable the beta r2011a support?

Re: System Generator 13.1 and Matlab r2011a

Hi, you can use 13.1 with matlab 2011a  commentig the line 75 (with %)

 xl_test_matlab_support_xmlfile(mlsupport_table, errstr, warnstr);

in the file

<Xilinx path>/ISE_DS/ISE/sysgen/util/sysgen_startup.m

It is working at least in linux64.
