System Generator 2015.4, XSim Initialization Error

I'm attempting to run a 2013 Simulink model in SysGen 2015.4.  I am also running Matlab R2015b and Windows 10. 

 

The design makes use of the FIR Compiler 7.1 which has been deprecated in SysGen 2015.4.  I have replaced it with a FIR filter created using FIR Compiler 7.2.  However, when attempting to simulate the model, I receive the error message below. 

 

My attempts to fix the error are as follows:

 

1.  I verified that LD_LIBRARY_PATH is properly defined in my Environment Variables.  Please see the screenshot below. 

 

2.  I reviewed the Xilinx forum post here which reported a similar error, but a final solution was never identified.

XSim Initialization Error:
Please make sure that Vivado library path, C:/Apps/xilinx/Vivado/2015.4/lib/win64.o, is also added in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment.
XSim engine error: Failed to initialize XSI interface for shared library, C:\Users\e364607/AppData/Local/Xilinx/Sysgen/SysgenVivado/win64.o/92ebbb618280284ec8ce648d3d6d75e2/xsim.dir/fir_compiler_v7_2_control_cb7d0bd2b7346a6512a3bc3c2b76d2a4_behav/xsimk.dll.
ERROR: XSim shared library, C:\Users\e364607/AppData/Local/Xilinx/Sysgen/SysgenVivado/win64.o/92ebbb618280284ec8ce648d3d6d75e2/xsim.dir/fir_compiler_v7_2_control_cb7d0bd2b7346a6512a3bc3c2b76d2a4_behav/xsimk.dll, doesn't exist.

Error occurred during "Simulation Initialization".

The reason is you are not using supported OS . WIndows 10 is not supported with Vivado 2015.4

Operating System Support:

  • Windows 8.1 Professional (64-bit)
  • Windows 7 and 7 SP1 Professional (64-bit)
  • Red Hat Enterprise 7.0 Workstation (64-bit)
  • Red Hat Enterprise 6.5-6.6 Workstation (64-bit)
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise 11.3 and 12.0 (64-bit)
  • Cent OS 6.6 and 7.0 (64-bit)
  • Ubuntu Linux 14.04.2 LTS (64-bit)

Required:

  • Vivado Design Suite 2015.4 System Edition
  • MATLAB 2014a, 2014b, 2015a and 2015b from The MathWorks (requires Simulink Fixed-Point Toolbox for bus-widths greater than 53 bits)

Optional:

  • Synopsys Synplify Pro I-2014.03-SP1
  • Mentor Graphics ModelSim / QuestaSim10.4b
