how to use  tcl to write all of the information to a log file

I'm now using tcl to bulid a .bit file under non-project mode .In the step of write_bitstream,I encounter an error.Since there are so many information useless so I can't see the information about the error(the information about the error is in the top of all other information where i can't see it.And now i want to know how to use  tcl to write all of the information to a log file so i can see the the information about the error.

Hi @sarlaga3 ,

You can append the following command at the end of your run string.
> test.log

This will create a file with the name "test.log" and stores the messages as a result of your run command.

Also "Vivado.log" file is created in the current working directory. And this log file contains all the information of the run. To access its location type "pwd" and the directory returned is where the "Vivado.log" is found.
