remains a black-box since it has no binding entity.

Dear all,

I want to use FFT V7.1 core in my ISE project. However I have received the following warnings which made irritated indeed. My ISE project just have one FFT component and all the input and output port are directly mapped to my entity input and output (copy and paste from the FFT core .vho file. ). I  have attached my code as well. I do appreciated if someone can help me.

WARNING:sim - VHDL simulation file type 'Behavioral' is not valid for this core.

Overriding with simulation file type 'Structural'.

WARNING:HDLCompiler:89 - "E:\Shervin Zargham\FFT\FFT_Verification\ISE\Test_FFT_Core\Test_FFT.vhd" Line 61: <myfft> remains a black-box since it has no binding entity.

Many Thanks,

Shervin Zargham

Hi,

When you run implementation, is it passing or does it error out?

From the log it the tool is considering the core as blackbox during synthesis. If the core has a generated NGC file it will be picked up during implementation and there will be no error. Let us know if you see error in implementation.

Thanks,

Deepika.

Thanks,
Deepika.
