ML-Suit Docker container

Jump to solution

Hello,

We are in the process of deploying an FPGA cluster of many nodes for machine learning inference.

we have tested successfuly docker approach to do inference on the Alveo u200. My question is around how secure is the docker container, in particular, can some one run a malicious attack from the container to damage the system?

we use the following script:

1 - Load the container
docker load < xilinx-ml-suite-ubuntu-16.04-xrt-2018.2-caffe-mls-1.4.tar.gz
2 - launch and interact with the container
./docker_run.sh

thanks,

Yassine

Re: ML-Suit Docker container

Hi @yhariri

1 - Load the container
docker load < xilinx-ml-suite-ubuntu-16.04-xrt-2018.2-caffe-mls-1.4.tar.gz
2 - launch and interact with the container
./docker_run.sh

-> as step 1 is considered, this will download the docker image in your local host machine.

-> step 2 will run the image on your local host, what ever analysis you are performing inside this image will be confined to current running image.

If you want to save the current running image, you can save it with other name and reuse it.

Coming to security, according to your requirement you can add docker privacy key etc... and can rebuild your docker image
