Aleveo U200 not shown in BIOS

Jump to solution

I am trying to use U200 in Dell Precision 5820. I followed suggestions posted in the forum to update BIOS. The card is not detected in BIOS. Is there any thing that I can try further?

- I tried to update the BIOS with recent version. I tried other versions as well such as 1.10.4 mentioned in other message.

- I tried to install in other PCI slots.

$lspci -vd 10ee: the commnd returns nothing. Most importantly, the card is not detected in BIOS.

Blue light is on. I think the slot was used for KCU1500 so it may be okay. I just got the card from Xilinx so this is brand new. Let me try it in other computer or server.

Hi @cosydsp6

What colors are the lights on the card?

Did the card work prior to the BIOS update?

Which directions did you follow exactly?

Regards,

M

This is the first time using it. Is there any light or led I should check on it? I was following getting started guide. It was not detected in lspci so I followed suggestions to update the bios in Dell such as this:

Hi @cosydsp6

You are really looking for a blue light, see this link for details. https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/72133.html

Can you plug in a jtag/usb cable to the maintenance port and use the Vivado hardware manager to determine if the card is programmed or not?

If the hardware manager can connect and show you the DDR calibration status, the card is likely in good health.

This isn't a server so could you double check you have placed the card in the correct PCIe slot?

Where/when did you get the card?

Did you follow all the steps in the getting started guide?

Regards,

M
