Alveo U50 on PCIe 4.0

Hi all,

I noticed that for the Alveo U50, at this page, both Deployment and Development target platforms files are named as "gen3x16":

Does this mean that PCIe 4.0 is not supported yet? Or other rpms are available somewhere else?

Using these files for a board installed on a PCIe 4 socket is expected to work? I guess so, but just to be sure...

p.s.
It seems that the link to the pdf install guide to "set up Alveo U50 on-premises" is broken.

Hi @ecalore 

The shells that have been made and released for the u50 card are currently PCIe gen3 x16 links. 

You can't change the PCIe IP of the shell, but you could look at the custom flow. In the custom flow you build your own design using the board files supplied with Vivado. You wouldn't be able to use Vitis, or XRT, or the Acceleration flow with this design. Instead you'd make a flat FPGA design that you would load onto the FPGA using either a JTAG/USB cable or XRT - the first time and then USB each time after.

Ok, thanks.

Concerning the link, it is named "Install Guide" in this page:

and points to: https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/boards_and_kits/accelerator-cards/ug1370-u50-installation.pdf

but that pdf file does not exist and I get redirected to this general documentation page:
