QDMA shell Alveo U50 and U280

Jump to solution

Hello, we want to make a design similar to this (A design in which multiple compute units of kernel are directly communicating with host using stream interfaces) using initially the ALVEO U50 board and later for the ALVEO U280 board.

https://github.com/Xilinx/Vitis_Accel_Examples/tree/master/host/streaming_multi_cus

The problem is that I have only found QDMA shell for the U200 and U250 boards. Is the QDMA shell planned for the U50 and U280 boards?. When is it scheduled?.Is there any possibility to modify the shell to adapt it to the U50 and U280 boards?

Best regards

Hi @roguma

There will be u50 and u280 QDMA shells coming in the future, but there is no official release date.

It is not possible to get the reference designs of the QDMA u200 and u250 shells from this forum. You would need to reach out to Xilinx marketing for that. Even then, the project is not trivial. If you need QDMA you can try making your own project with the Vivado flow, however this will remove the shell and XRT from your stack and you'll have to build everything back up yourself.

Here is a link to the Vivado flow https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/71754.html

M
