Hi all,
I have a U250 card. I use Ubuntu 18.04.2. I have installed "xrt_201920.2.5.309_18.04-amd64-xrt.deb" and "xilinx-u250-xdma-201830.2-2580015_18.04.deb". I got this issue. I would appreciate if you could help me to fix it. I should mention that I got rmmod errors related xocl and xclmgmt during xrt installation.

I'm not sure how the server got into this state, but it looks like the server does not recognize that a platform is installed.
I think remove XRT and try to install again. Make sure to use sudo to install instead of installing as root. Make sure to install XRT before installing the shell. Try to record a log of all the steps you take and post that log here with the terminal output so I can take a deeper look if the issue persists.
Regards,
M

Hi @mcertosi
I removed and installed xrt and shell as you suggested. I got the same issue. Here are the terminal outputs. I should mention the kernel version is 5.3.0-40-generic.
Thanks

I see the issue. The card you have installed in your server is a VCU1526 - you'll need to install a 1526 shell not a U250 shell.

Hi @mcertosi
Thanks for your reply. I have ordered a U250. Is it not a U250 card? What is the difference between these two cards? And, where can I find the shell for VCU1526?

The card identifies itself as a VCU1526, so there isn't a way to load the U250 shell onto it.
When did you get this card?
Where did you get this card from?
Are you saying you tried to purchase a u250 and this is what was delivered?
Can you send me the serial number on the card?
I am unsure of where to find the VCU1526 shell, there is no 1526 listed on our product page at this time.

Hi @mcertosi
Thank you so much for your reply. I called the sales representative and we found that they sent me the wrong board. I shipped it back. I am waiting for a new U250 board. I will try to flash the new board and will update this post.
Thanks
