ERROR: [Common 17-356] Failed to install all user apps

hello, i have just install Vivado 2015.1 in windows. the  installation is done  and I have succesfully run settings but when I try to run vivado an error is displayed:

 

ERROR: [Common 17-356] Failed to install all user apps.

 

how can i solve this issue?thank you

Hello @aichamb,

 

Try setting the following environment variable as follows and then see the behaviour:

 

 XILINX_LOCAL_USER_DATA no

As we have seen other users setting that environment variable that avoided the issue for them.

hi @bandi, i saw a solution in "https://forums.xilinx.com/t5/Installation-and-Licensing/Vivado-failed-to-install-all-user-apps/m-p/558166#M9969" but i can't understand the meaning of "

This problem could occur when support and/or tclapp directories are missing in your $HOME/.Xilinx/Vivado/2014.4/XilinxTclStore.

 
To work around the issue, either copy the missing directories or do tclapp::reset_tclstore in tcl mode." can you explain to me more thank you

Hi @aichamb,

 

As mentioned in the above Answer Record, to work around the issue either copy the missing directories or run "tclapp::reset_tclstore" after opening Vivado in Tcl mode.

 

1. Open a command prompt,

2. migrate to C:\Xilinx\Vivado\2015.1 

Ex: CD C:\Xilinx\Vivado\2015.1

3. Run settings64.bat.

4. Now run vivado -mode tcl once that is opened run command : "tclapp::reset_tclstore" and check if this helps.
