Export all warnings to text file

Jump to solution

I see in Vivado you can export errors/warnings to an Excel spreadsheet, but is there a way to export them to a simple text file?

Thanks

Tim

@tim_severance

Would it work for your purposes to simply copy and paste the messages?

To do this:

 1) open the Message console,

 2) expand all messages;

 3) click on the first,

 4) hold shift key and click on the last message

 5) copy and paste to a text file.

@balkris,

   I do not see a way to save CSV, I only see a way to save as XLSX.   Can you tell me how to save as CSV?   That would be a text format I could work with.

Thanks.

@balkris,

   Sorry for a delayed response.   I just tried to export a CSV like you showed in your image, but when I tried to open it in a text viewer it was all binary, so the CSV export is not functional.

   Can you possibly add this as a feature request, or let me know how I can actually export a text file?

Thanks.
