ISE control in command line

I want to build a script file to control the workflow:

(1)synthsis:

its command is "xst -ifn <script file>"

in <script file>,we can write: run -ifn <module file> -ifmt mixed -ofn <XXX.ncg> -ofmt NCG -p xc3s200-5-ft256 -top topmodule

and get the synthesis result

(2)ngdbuild

(3)map

(4)par

(5)trce

(6)bitgen :get the final bit file which can be downloaded into FPGA board.

 

Questions:

#1 Is there a command for downloading the bit file into FPGA board?

#2 Can ISE recognize Diligent JTAT-USB cable?I use Diligent's tool- ExPort,and it can download the bit file into FPGA.Why iMPACT cannot ,and just reports the following error?

Waring:iMPACT:923- Can not find cable,check cable setup!

1) Yes. Normally (the case outlined in #2) you would use iMPACT. Though most people use the GUI, it is available in batch mode too:

2) I believe iMPACT, Chipscope, and XMD only recognize Xilinx cables (e.g. Parallel-IV, Platform USB Cable (and embedded equivalents on S3E Starter Kit and S3A/AN Starter Kit), Platform USB Cable II, etc.

As far as I know, there is no standard software interface to the cables so other manufacturers have their own drivers and download applications.

If you want to work with these application, using a Xilinx cable is likely the path of least resistance.
