Part numbering schemes

I am doing some work for a client and they are using an Artix-7 FPGA, part number XC7A50T-1FGG484C. But in the Vivado IDE the part numbering scheme is slightly different, and it seems to be the XC7A50TFGG484-1. Why are they different?

Re: Part numbering schemes

If you split down the part number,
the difference is one has a C for "commercial" temperature range.

In vivado, you have selected the temp range in a drop down menu, so I'd guess the C in the part number is redundant information.
where as when you purchase, you need to know what temperature range you need .

Re: Part numbering schemes

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, I get their numbering scheme, I am just wondering why their part-number (that you order from say Mouser) is slightly different from the list in Vivado?

Best,

Ian
