Vivado: Found non local file in project

Jump to solution

Hi all,

I'm getting the following critical warning when i try to generate dsa file for my custom sdsoc platform:

CRITICAL WARNING: [Vivado 12-5942] Found non local file in project: /home/boulares/developpment/Vivado/ad_for_sdsoc/hdl/library/xilinx/common/ad_iobuf.v. It is required that all files in the project be imported into the project locally before running write_dsa.

is there a suggestion to fix this problem ?

Thank's.

Hi @xilinxacct,

I have copied the nonlocal-declared files into my_project.srcs folder, then i have right-clicked on these files in vivado sources manager and i selected "replace file" option to change their path.

and finally i repeated dsa writing process without any critical warning.

@boularesaziz

Is this file 'external' to the project rather than copied/moved local to the project?

Hope that helps

If so, please mark as solution accepted. Kudos also welcomed. :-)
