I am trying to program a AC701 eval board via Vivado Lab Edition v2018.2 and when I try to point to the .bit which I want to program onto the board the following error appears as seen in the attached .png file -
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the version of vivado, tried multiple other versions of vivado namely 2019.1, 2019.2 and it has all produced the same internal exception error. I am presuming that maybe it is something to do with the Java software on my PC not being up to date or maybe an issue between windows 10 and Java.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Where is your working directory ? Is it on local storage ?
If it's on network, are you using symbolic link ?
If you use symbolic link, would you change it ?
If your working directory is on network, make sure permission.

Thanks for responding.
The working directory is on a network and is corrected via samba link. I have full permissions. I should note that I've tried storing the programming files locally and unfortunately it produces the same error.

It means that java program can't access this file by causing permission issue or using symbolic link or system limitation.
The best way is to change OS from Windows to Linux.
If you still want to use Windows, I suggest you to use "network drive" (allocate network drive) instead of URI.
