Vivado menu bar taking almost 1/3 of the screen

Is there a way to just have 1 menu bar not 7 (see attachment)

Re: Vivado menu bar taking almost 1/3 of the screen

I don't think Xilinx has much interest in improving this.

I've asked with respect to the Vivado Analyzer (the only time we ever want to use the Vivado GUI):

Almost 3 years... No response...

@xlyns,

On the right upper corner you can choose to "float" the view, which means that the active view can be (un)docked from Vivado. This'll get rid of any menu overhead.

Re: Vivado menu bar taking almost 1/3 of the screen

Thanks but its still 3 menu bars (see attachment), and there would be enough room for all on one bar or it is questionable if any of that info is useful? As FPGA engineer I like to look at equations and logic with nothing bothering, its hard enough as it is so we do not need additional distractions.

I am currently trying to find out why one action is done 32 times instead of one..

But that in my code so I cannot blame anyone else than myself =||

Re: Vivado menu bar taking almost 1/3 of the screen

@xlyns,

you can remove the bar in the middle by clicking the right x to close the tab. That's only 2 bars left :)

The GUI looks a lot cleaner now (2018.2) than it was 2016.4. Still, we can hope for more...
