What do these IP icons indicate?

Hello everyone,

Could you explain to me what these icons of the following IPs mean?

The icon of these IPs looks like a key.

    axi_cpu_interconnect

    axi_hdmi_interconnect

    axi_mem_interconnect

The icon of these IPs is a question mark.

    ila_0

    scope_0

Thanks a lot!

Re: What do these IP icons indicate?

Hi @qiuxiaojie

Question mark indicates that the file is missing.

Key symbol indicates hidden instantiation. Refer to page-51 of http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx2015_3/ug893-vivado-ide.pdf

Thanks,

Deepika.

Thanks,
Deepika.

@qiuxiaojie

?: File missing, Regarding the mark on .v file: Click on the file and check property. I guess, it should be locked or read only.

Thanks,
Anusheel

Re: What do these IP icons indicate?

after "Generate Output Products" is completed,

1. IPs with key symbol before still have this symbol now.

2. IPs with question mark have a normal symbol. There are not any IPs with question mark.

3. some of IPs have a cross symbol indicating that the version of the IP is in the IP Catalog, and synthesis targets are generated.

4. The other IPs have a normal symbol.

What are reasons for these four situations?

Re: What do these IP icons indicate?

Hi @qiuxiaojie

Can you open block design and run write_bd_tcl command from tcl console? Attach the resultant TCL file here.

Thanks,

Deepika.
