Why does the block automation fail?

Jump to solution

I used block automation of Vivado2014.2, but it failed. Here is the output:

apply_bd_automation -rule xilinx.com:bd_rule:microblaze -config {local_mem "16KB" ecc "None" cache "16KB" debug_module "Debug Only" axi_periph "Enabled" axi_intc "0" clk "/mig_7series_0/ui_addn_clk_0 (160 MHz)" } [get_bd_cells microblaze_0]

How to solve the problem?

Thanks.

Re: Why does the block automation fail?

Hi

Just searched the bug database. This is a known issue. In IPI running block automation when a clock wizard is already connected to the Clk port of the microblase fails. This is fixed in 2014.3.

Hence for now, dont connect the clk port before block automation.

Hope this helps.

There seems to be some issue with mircoblaze here. Can you just do with the defaults (mricoblaze settings " and try the block automation? This seems an bug to me.
