Why doesn't Xilinx have real Tech support?

Re: Why doesn't Xilinx have real Tech support?

What sort of tech support would you like? Most of the questions here are "how do I do this?" (not something that Xilinx should be answering) or "why doesn't my code work?" (also not something that Xilinx should be answering). The things that Xilinx should be supporting (eg. recommending devices and supporting designs for their devices) are handled by FAEs.

Re: Why doesn't Xilinx have real Tech support?

@bwiec "They do. http://www.xilinx.com/support/service-portal.html"

Considering that Xilinx cut off Webcase (now "Service Request") access to the majority of their customers as of 2013 [1,2], your statement is somewhat of an exaggeration,

Once upon a time, any Xilinx customer paying $$$$ for the tools had Webcase access, which is how things should be handled!

With this overseas-staffed(?) forum system Xilinx now has in place, it is somewhat of a crapshoot as to getting questions understood and answered, and CR's appropriately filed for tool issues.

Re: does Xilinx 7000 SoC supports SVM

your question is not related to the topic at hand Please create another thread.

PS the answer to your question is yes; if you implement the classifier yourself ;-)
